Glen Huntly Level Crossing Works, VIC

NPE worked closely with the SPA team to execute the installation and development of dewatering wells for Glen Huntly Level Crossing works, under both occupation and train running environments.

The client required the hire and installation of pumps, sediment tanks / water treatment and local pipe routes to manage the pumping of groundwater out of trenches and excavations. NPE were required to install all equipment in line with the approved trade waste agreement and associated particulars and discharge water into the designated points as directed by SPA.

Given the site restraints and narrow window for rail occupation, NPE helped implement a design suitable for both parties for the successful dewatering outcome over the 1km Level crossing removal.

With the help of NPE over a number of months the client has been able to successfully install a massive 10m-wide and 40m long stormwater tank that’s buried deep under the new station area. The 915,000L tank will prevent flooding in the 1km rail trench.
