Pit Dewatering – Kalgoorlie, WA
NPE was engaged for Mine Pit Dewatering in Kalgoorlie for a long-term customer expanding their mine.
The client required a three-series pump set-up system engineered and installed. This system set-up consisted of submersible pumps attached to NPE pontoons pumping water to a booster pump system, which then pumps the water to another booster pump system that pumps the water to the mine’s processing facility. As the water level inside the open pit drops, the pump pontoons will float on the surface of the water. The use of a pontoon also eliminates the need to reposition or lower a pump mounted on the ground at the pit’s side as the water level drops.
Several site visits with an NPE team of Project Managers, AIC Installers, and Engineers and continuous communication with the client ensured that we delivered a successful result.
