Wellpoint Dewatering – WA
NPE were engaged by our client regarding installing an LLDPE 11000 litre tank.
The depth to the static groundwater level was 1.5m below surface ground level, and the concrete footing for their tank base needed to be dry down to 2.6m invert from GL (ground level).
NPE mobilised to the site and installed a Wellpoint dewatering system by hand jetting method with appropriate spacing around the 12m x 5m perimeter to the required pre-determined depth, as this was the most suitable and efficient method of temporarily lowering the water table for this excavation.
The dewatering effluent was discharged into the allocated onsite infiltration basin for this 8-day duration.
This is the 2nd dewatering system in 4 months that NPE have installed for our client’s new Water Treatment facility in Osbourne Park, Perth, WA.
Both jobs were a dry success.
